This virtual training helps early care and education providers create environments that support breastfeeding families. Participants learn practical strategies to make their program more welcoming, such as setting up comfortable spaces for feeding, safely handling and storing breast milk, and building policies that encourage breastfeeding support. The training also covers how to communicate with families, engage staff, and meet best practice standards.
By the end, providers will be better prepared to support parents’ feeding choices, promote healthy child development, and take steps toward becoming a Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care certified program.
This training session fulfills the training requirement for the Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Certification. Certificates of attendance will be provided.
