What is PALS (Physical Activity Learning Sessions)?
An interactive training program for early care and education (ECE) providers to integrate physical activity best practices into daily routines and program policies. Designed for children birth to age five, PALS combines engaging content with hands-on tools for action planning, policy development, and family engagement. Participants join a supportive community of providers to share ideas and create healthier, more active learning environments.

Alabama Healthy Kids Healthy Future is offering the PALS series as three virtual trainings:

  • Session 1: The Importance of Physical Activity in Early Childhood

  • Session 2: Implementing Physical Activity Best Practices: Time, Space, Activities, and the Provider’s Role

  • Session 3: From Policy to Practice: Engaging Families and Action Planning for Success
